Who Our Courses Are Designed For

Bradford Hill Academy courses are designed for anyone with a scientific interest in pharmaceutical drug development — from students preparing for a career in the industry to experienced professionals seeking to deepen or broaden their expertise.

Courses are offered at varying levels — from introductory programmes suitable for advanced students and career changers entering the industry, to courses aimed at professionals with years of practical experience. The level and prerequisites of each course are specified on the individual course page.

How Our Courses Work

All Bradford Hill Academy courses are delivered entirely online, in a self-paced format. There are no fixed attendance times or live sessions — you progress through the material at a time and pace that suits your schedule.

FORMAT
Self-paced, modular
Each course consists of 8 to 10 modules. Each module includes 2 case studies and a 20-question quiz, and the course concludes with a final assessment. You can progress through the material at your own pace and return to any module at any time during your access period.
DURATION
Individual Course Duration
Each course has an estimated learning time. The expected duration is displayed on the respective course page.
LANGUAGE
English & German
Our courses are offered in English, German, or both languages, depending on the program. The available language versions are displayed on the respective course page. If a course is available in multiple languages, you can switch between language versions at any time within the course environment. All language versions contain identical content.
DEVICE
Desktop or laptop recommended
Courses are optimised for larger screens. A desktop or laptop computer is strongly recommended for the best learning experience. A modern browser and an internet connection are all that is required — no software installation.

Evidence-Based, Regulatory-Aligned Content

All course content is developed by pharmaceutical industry professionals with direct experience in drug development, regulatory affairs, clinical development, or diagnostics.

Content is grounded in published scientific literature and official regulatory guidance documents — including those from the FDA, EMA, and ICH. Where regulatory positions differ between agencies, these differences are explicitly noted.

Courses clearly distinguish between regulatory requirements, regulatory recommendations, and common industry practice. Content is reviewed and updated when guidance documents or scientific consensus evolve.

Important: Course content is intended for professional continuing education and does not constitute legal, medical, or regulatory advice in individual cases. Learners should always verify the current status of any regulatory guidance before applying it to a specific submission or development programme.

Flexible Start Dates

At Bradford Hill Academy, you are not locked into a fixed cohort start date. During checkout, each course in your order has its own start date selector, allowing you to choose when you want to begin — individually for each course.

As Soon As Possible
Your course access is activated as soon as your payment is confirmed.
Choose a Specific Start Date
Select any date from tomorrow up to 12 months in the future. Your course access will open on that date, regardless of when payment was made. This is useful if you want to align your course start with a project milestone, a quieter period in your schedule, or a planned training block.

How Long You Have Access

The access period for each course is specified on the individual course page. Access is personal — it is tied to your account and cannot be shared with or transferred to another person.

During your access period, you can progress through the course at your own pace and revisit any module you have already completed. Your progress is saved automatically.

Completion Certificates

Upon completing all modules and passing the final assessment, a digital completion certificate is issued. The certificate states your name, the course title, the completion date, and the Bradford Hill Academy seal. Further details on certificate delivery will be provided on the individual course page.

Note on accreditation: Bradford Hill Academy certificates are professional continuing education certificates. They are not issued by a state-recognised academic institution and do not confer academic degrees. Whether a certificate counts towards CPD requirements of a specific professional body depends on that body's policies — we recommend verifying this with your relevant association.
